Shark Cage Diving KZN is situated just south of Durban near Aliwal Shoal (only 60 minutes from King Shaka International Airport). We launch from the safest launch site on the Durban South Coast – Rocky Bay. We are specialists in Shark Cage Diving, Snorkeling with Sharks and Shark Viewing at Durban Aliwal Shoal in South Africa.

A shark cage dive typically involves getting into a wetsuit or a costume, donning a mask and climbing into a floating stainless steel cage so you can watch between 5 and 20 sharks that frequent Durban’s Aliwal Shoal gliding gracefully by the cage walls. This is a simple, yet incredible experience and one which can be safely enjoyed by almost all ages. Sharks can also be seen from the boat whilst swimming close to the surface.

SNORKEL WITH SHARKS

SNORKEL WITH SHARKS AT DURBAN’S ALIWAL SHOAL – NO CAGE!

Snorkeling with Sharks at Durban’s Aliwal Shoal is an incredibly rewarding experience for those who want to feel ‘at one’ with these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Non-divers can snorkel freely at Durban’s Aliwal Shoal between 5 to 20 Oceanic Blacktip and Spinner Sharks or even a few Tiger Sharks in the summer.

Snorkelers will have a safety diver with them at all times who has been working with sharks for 20 years.

Safety is always our main concern, therefore we reserve the right to decide whether the dive should go ahead or not once out at sea. This is mainly due to visibility out at Aliwal Shoal on the day as one should be able to see a shark from at least 5 meters away.
